Coming Soon: Fender’s Player II Precision Bass Gets a Rare Shell Pink Finish

Fender Limited Edition Player II Precision Shell Pink Body

Fender has announced a limited run of their Player II Series models in a Shell Pink finish. The four-piece lineup includes a Stratocaster, a Telecaster, a Jazzmaster, and a Precision Bass.

Shell Pink was originally a Desoto automobile color option in the mid-’50s before Fender adopted it in the early ’60s. It was one of the fourteen official colors Fender included on their first custom-color chart in 1960, along with other vintage favorites like Foam Green, Sonic Blue, and Fiesta Red.

The rest of the specs of the Limited Edition Player II Precision remain the same with an alder body, maple neck, and maple fingerboard. Other features include a Pure Vintage ’60 Split-Coil picku, open-gear tuning machines, and a 4-saddle bridge with single-groove steel “barrel” saddles.

If you’re not up to speed on the Player II Precision yet, you can get the scoop from last year’s launch video.

The Fender Limited Edition Player II Precision in Shell Pink will be available August 29th exclusively through Fender’s website. It carries a direct price of $944.99.

Love the pink, but the red pickguard seems a little off for me
Think it looks better with a creme pickguard and while at it maybe pink knobs and of possible a pink pickup

    I love those things
