Ibanez Introduces EHB600 and EHB605: Affordable Headless Basses

Ibanez EHB600 Series

Ibanez’s EHB line of headless bass guitars has gotten a new edition with the EHB600 Series. The new models include the four-string EHB600 and the five-string EHB605, each making the EHB experience more accessible than ever, the company says.

“These models retain the series’ key advantages with essential features such as an ergonomic body design, a Maple/Jatoba neck, and a 3-band active EQ,” they write. “Get the EHB600 or EHB605 and enjoy EHB convenience and affordability without compromise.”

The original EHB design launched at NAMM 2020 with price points starting at $1,099. The new 600-series basses carry prices of $799 and $899, respectively.

Ibanez builds the EHB600 Series basses with okoume bodies. The jatoba fingerboard holds 24 frets with white dot inlays. Other features include Ibanez a1 pickups, an MR5HS bridge with 19mm spacing, and an EQ bypass switch with passive tone control.

But what’s the point if a) not multi scale b) HILS/HEX/SIRE/CORT c) colours are pants and d) PUPs are poor.
These seem like too many significant compromises?
