Newly Released Footage Shows Led Zeppelin at Their Peak in 1975’s “In My Time of Dying”

Led Zeppelin has dropped another gem from the vault. This time it’s a newly released video of “In My Time of Dying” from their May 24, 1975 show at Earls Court in London.

This is the band at full throttle. Bonham is absolutely brutal on the drums. Plant’s vocals are raw and ripping. John Paul Jones holds it all down with that low end swagger, weaving between the heavy slide guitar lines and gospel-drenched breakdowns.

The song already stands out on Physical Graffiti as a marathon blues rock epic. Live, it hits even harder. The energy here is wild and the mix is surprisingly clear for a show from this era. You can feel the weight of every crash, every howl, every groove.

If you’re a Zeppelin fan or just want to see what it looks like when a band pushes a song to its limit, this is one to stop and watch.
