Alberto Rigoni and Michael Manring Announce New Bass-Driven Album With Surprise Guest

Bass lovers take note: groove gurus Alberto Rigoni and Michael Manring are teaming up for a new album. Following their previous collaboration, Grains of Sand, the new project will be an instrumental effort that blends progressive rock and ambient soundscapes.
“As with the last album, the focus will remain firmly on the bass guitar, showcased in all its expressive potential and sonic versatility, alongside powerful and intricate drumming,” a press release explains.
The duo has more tricks up their sleeves, as they’ve revealed there will be a third bassist to join the album’s lineup. They’ll be announcing the name of that player as well as the drummer soon.
“We’re exploring new sonic landscapes and interplay between three distinct bass voices,” says Rigoni.
“It’s going to be something very special,” adds Manring.
The album is yet to be named. The duo will be releasing more news, previews, and the full lineup soon. Until then, we can revisit their star-studded album Grains of Sand.
