Spector Introduces NS Icon Bolt-On Series With Aguilar Electronics

Spector Bass NS Icon Bolt-On Series

Spector has announced a new lineup called the NS Icon Bolt-on Series, which they call “a new chapter in a legendary legacy.” The range offers a new take on the NS bass design, keeping the essence of their flagship model while bringing it up to date with a fully carved body, premium tonewoods, and professional-grade hardware.

“Each NS Icon Bolt-On features a resonant Alder body paired with a bolt-on 3-piece rock maple neck and a smooth rosewood fingerboard—tonewoods that have defined Spector’s sonic signature for generations,” a press release explains. “The body’s fully curved contour ensures unmatched comfort and playability, while the neck profile, nut width, and fingerboard radius are meticulously crafted to meet the standards of our Custom Shop.”

The NS Icon Bolt-on comes in four and five-string versions with options for solid gloss finishes (Black and White) or two stain finishes (Black Cherry and Black Stain) with a quilted maple top. All models are fitted with a custom-voiced electronics package from Aguilar. The four-string model has a Reverse P and J pickup configuration, while the five-string has soapbar pickups. Each is paired with the Aguilar OBP-2 preamp.

The Spector NS Icon Bolt-on Series will be available soon with prices of $1,199 for the four-string and $1,299 for the five-string.

  1. Is anyone else asking if the out of stock Spector Ethos is going to be replaced by a new Icon neck through hopefully with EMG electronic?
Their video states an Icon line…and at 1.05m into the video they show a quilted blue bass which is a color not offered with the new bolt on.
