Nate Navarro Plays 40 Basses Back to Back for a Rapid-Fire Tone Comparison

In this video, Nate Navarro plays 40 different basses back to back using an evolving groove that shifts constantly as the video unfolds. Slap, fingerstyle, tapping, and other techniques all make appearances, giving each instrument multiple chances to speak. Rather than locking into a single riff, Nate lets the part grow and reveals how different basses respond across a wide range of styles

This is one of those videos that is just fun to watch, but also sneaks in a lot of insight if you are paying attention. Even if you are not shopping for a bass, it is a great reminder of how much personality lives in the instrument and in the hands of the player.

Impressive as always. Nate kills it.
But … none of MY basses without any FX applied and played right into an Amp with neutral settings sound like Nate’s basses. All this super bad-ass tone and growl is coming from technique and fingers?
