Nathan East to Anchor Eric Clapton’s 2026 Midwest Tour

Eric Clapton and Nathan East

Eric Clapton is heading back on the road this year. The guitar legend has announced a new run of U.S. tour dates for the fall with six stops focusing on the Midwest. Jimmie Vaughan will be joining as a special guest.

The dates begin September 6th in Detroit, Michigan at the Little Caesars Arena. He’ll then travel to Cincinatti, Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Kansas City.

Nathan East will once again bring the groove to Clapton’s touring band with his signature blend of R&B, rock, and jazz. The bassist, who performed on mega hits like “Tears in Heaven” and “Change the World,” has a close musical chemistry with Clapton that has been forged over decades.

“I think it’s maybe 40+ years that I’ve been working with Eric Clapton and feel a very close chemistry with Eric onstage,” he told Hit Channel in 2024. “After so many times, you can hear around corners where each other is going and there is a non-verbal communication, that’s very special when you are making music.”
