Angine de Poitrine has been taking the musical world by storm with their microtonal art rock. After racking up over 7.4 million views on their Live on KEXP session, the band has released their second studio album, aptly named Vol. II.

The release features three songs from the viral KEXP sessions – “Fabienk,” “Mata Zyklek,” and “Sarniezz” – plus three more compositions. Of course, the duo of Klek and Khn create their wild sound with a double neck guitar and bass with mesmerizing loops.

“The album stretches the boundaries of Angine de Poitrine’s sound with even bolder, more dynamic structures,” a press release states. “Once again, three essential forces fuel the duo’s music: acid techno, disco, and rock.”

If you’re in love with the KEXP session, Vol. II is definitely worth checking out. The benefit of a recording studio makes the bass sound even more present and crisp, and the bass parts on the previously unreleased tracks are nuts. (Listen to the middle of “Utzp”.)

Angine de Poitrine’s Vol. II is streaming now on Apple Music, Amazon Music, and other digital platforms. The band also put the entire album on YouTube for free.

As we previously reported, Angine de Poitrine will be on tour in Canada, Europe, and the United States through 2026. See below for their tour dates.
