Stanley Clarke Tears Through ‘School Days’ With Stewart Copeland Behind the Kit
We do not post a lot of cell phone video around here, but sometimes a clip is just too good to pass up. This footage from the Santa Monica International Jazz Festival captures Stanley Clarke ripping through his iconic tune “School Days” with Stewart Copeland on drums, and it is an absolute blast from start to finish.
Stanley is playing his signature Alembic bass and getting that massive tone only he seems to pull off. The second he drops into the main riff, the whole thing takes off. And Copeland? Total maniac who is all over the kit. The chemistry between these two is loose, chaotic, and ridiculously fun to watch.
Turn this one up loud.
