Stanley Clarke and Stewart Copeland Are Completely Locked In During This Live Set
A couple of weeks ago, we shared some fan-shot footage of Stanley Clarke and Stewart Copeland tearing it up on stage. It was a fun glimpse of what these two legends can do together. Now we’ve got the real thing.
This professionally filmed concert from the Jazz à Sète Festival captures the entire hour-long set, and it’s absolutely worth the time. Stanley spends the evening moving between upright and electric bass. It’s always fun to see him with his Alembic, running through an Ampeg rig and sounding fantastic. As always, Stewart Copeland is a force of nature behind the kit. His energy never lets up, and he brings that signature controlled chaos to every tune. The interaction between the two is what makes this performance so much fun to watch.
If you missed the earlier clip, this is the full story. Grab a comfortable chair and enjoy an hour with two masters who clearly still love making music together. If you only have time for one, START HERE.
