Fender Launches Web-Exclusive Made in Japan ’60s Jazz Bass With Competition and Stardust Finishes

Fender has released a limited series of Made in Japan instruments exclusively to their web store, including one bass model. The Made in Japan Traditional 2025 Collection ’60s Jazz Bass is described as a classic design with a modern twist.
It features a basswood body, a “U”-shaped maple neck, and vintage-voiced pickups. However, the most distinctive aspect may be its colorways.
“The ‘Competition 3-Color Sunburst / Aged Natural’ models offer a distinctive reimagining of Fender’s iconic competition stripe, weaving the brand’s most iconic colors into the body design in a way that feels at once nostalgic and entirely new,” Fender writes. “‘Stardust Pink’ and ‘Stardust Blue’ finishes blend shimmering glitter into modern pastel tones, completed with Fender’s signature burst for a look that only Fender® could create.”
The “Stardust Pink” has already sold out. The Sunburst, Aged Natural, and Stardust Blue versions are now available exclusively on Fender.com for $1,499. Check out our affiliate link HERE.
