Dunable and Bongripper’s Ron Petzke Unveil a Cyclops Bass Built for Drop F

Dunable Guitars has teamed up with Bongripper bassist Ron Petzke for a limited edition version of its Cyclops Bass. The collaboration focused on building a four-string bass capable of handling serious drop tuning.
“Huge news for drop F players, we collabed with [Ron Petzke] on a beautiful USA cyclops specifically for the low tones of [Bongripper] and anyone else who’s playing at the end of the alphabet,” Dunable wrote on Facebook. “It’s got a single dbird, charcoal finish, and a big ol slab of swamp ash to keep the notes ringin til 2027.”
The bass has an extended 35-inch scale. Its maple neck is fitted with an ebony fingerboard adorned with Mother-of-Pearl block inlays and Luminlay side dots. Other features include a Hipshot A Style bridge, Leo Quan clover tuners, and a single volume knob.
The Dunable Guitars Ron Petzke Cyclops Bass collab is limited to three units. It’s available now for $3,400.
