Oteil Burbridge and LaMP Announce Make-A-Wish Benefit Tour

Oteil Burbridge and LaMP

Oteil Burbridge is having a busy year. He released a fantastic new album, The Offering, and has spent most of the year on the road with his solo band. He’s gearing up for a special tour with guitar legend John Scofield’s Electrospective, but first he’s got a special run of shows.

The bass dynamo is teaming up with LaMP (featuring Russ Lawton, Scott Metzger, and Ray Paczkowski) for a four-city concert series to benefit Make-A-Wish. Presented by Fiddlehead Brewing Company, the tour will run from October 6th through the 9th with stops in New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts.

Make-A-Wish is a foundation that creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Burbridge, who has played with groups from the Allman Brothers to Dead & Company, knows the group.

“I’m so excited to share the stage with Russ, Ray and Scott on this upcoming run for such a great organization,” he says. “I’ve participated in Make-A-Wish since the Allman Brothers days but it has been a long time. This is a rare opportunity to join LaMP and see what flavor of musical brew we can conjure up. Don’t miss this one if you’re within striking distance.”

For Fiddlehead Brewing co-owner Amy Cohen, it’s an even more personal cause.

“More than ten years ago, our son Noah received a wish, and we saw firsthand what it meant for him and for our whole family. In the middle of everything he was facing, it gave him something to look forward to and reminded all of us how much joy is still possible. To help grant that same joy for other children now, through the live music we love, is a full-circle moment we will never forget,” she said.

Watch an incredible show and support a great cause by attending Oteil Burbridge with LaMP. Tickets are available now through Make-A-Wish. In the meantime, check out our latest interview with Burbridge.
