Nathan East Backs Trey Anastasio and John Mayer on “Ghost” at Crossroads 2026
Nathan East found himself in the middle of a serious guitar workout at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival at the Moody Center in Austin.
East joined Trey Anastasio for his set alongside Noah East, Sonny Emory, and Doyle Bramhall II. John Mayer came out near the end of the set for “What’s Going Through Your Mind,” singing and playing guitar with Anastasio.
The performance stretches past the 12 minute mark which gives Trey and John plenty of room to trade ripping solos and push the tune into some extended territory.
Through it all, Nathan is absolutely marinating in the pocket on his Yamaha BBNE2 signature bass through his Laney rig, laying down a thick, cosmic low end bed while Trey and John spiral off into the ether, trade fire, chase the dragon, and keep pushing the jam further out into the great beyond.
