Charles Berthoud Makes His Bass Sound Like a Monster Synth
Charles Berthoud has found another way to take the bass into unexpected territory.
In his latest video, “I Turned My Bass Into A Synth… And It Sounds MASSIVE,” Berthoud runs through a wild collection of synth sounds from the Future Impact V4 while putting his usual ridiculous technique to work.
The visuals fit the sounds perfectly. His clear Lucite bass, glowing fretboard LEDs, and neon strings give the whole performance a futuristic vibe as he moves from deep aggressive tones to sounds that barely resemble a traditional bass.
This one is short, fun, and very cool.
