Victor Wooten has been touring in support of his latest album, Trypnotyx, with drummer Dennis Chambers and saxophonist Bob Franceschini. If you’ve missed the tour, you’re in luck. Karl Clews recently sent us this video of his ambitious all-bass arrangement of Marcus Miller’s “Run for Cover.” Karl shared: “I imagine a lot of folks have a go at Marcus Miller’s iconic bass part for ‘Run For Cover’, but there probably aren’t many foolish enough to try playing the melody at the same time! Hope you like it!”

Tedeschi Trucks Band shared this excellent video from their performance at Gathering of the Vibes on July 31, 2015. The band perform’s Joe Cocker’s version of “The Letter,” with some typically wonderful bass lines by Tim Lefebvre.

Back in 2016, Lake Street Dive hit the Bose studios to record a session. This clip of “Mistakes” features a solid groove by bassist Bridget Kearney, who also contributes backing vocals.

Roberto Pace sent me his latest video from Voba Sound Experience, and it is killer. Joined by Marta Giulioni on vocals, the duo combines “Come Together” and “Uptown Funk.”

I stumbled upon this excellent video of Phil X & The Drills recently, and I was an instant fan. Anchored by bassist Daniel Spree – who offers up some monster tone – here’s the band performing “Superstition.”

The last time we featured one of the “live sesh” videos by KNOWER (with bassist Sam Wilkes), it was a huge hit. Here’s another. This time around, they perform “Time Traveler,” which was “recorded at some guy’s house” in July. The band issued a warning for this video: “Fast Song.” But it also has a “soft part.”
