Adam Blackstone is one of the most prolific and successful bass players of our time. Now, the bass guru has announced his first-ever signature electric bass: the Adam Blackstone “Gladys” Jackson Pro Series Signature Concert Bass.

After appearing on stages and albums for the world’s most famous artists, acclaimed bassist and producer Adam Blackstone released his debut solo album, “Legacy,” in 2022. Now he’s released his first Christmas album with “A Legacy Christmas.”

Although he’s been on many chart-topping albums, Adam Blackstone released his debut solo record last year with Legacy. Soon after, he hit the road to support it with what he called “The Legacy Experience” tour, and now we have an album showcasing his live chops.

NPR Music shared this fantastic Tiny Desk Concert a few days ago, and I enjoyed every minute. Here’s Adam Blackstone leading his band and special guests on six tunes at NPR’s HQ.

Adam Blackstone spends a lot of his time creating with and working for other artists. Last year he carved out enough time for himself to deliver his debut solo album, “The Legacy,” and now he’ll be on the road performing some of its music.

Ed Sheeran was just featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk (Home) concert. While Sheeran is mostly known as a solo artist, the talented Adam Blackstone is the musical director and bassist for the band in this one.

They’re back! After taking a week off, the bass hero trio of Steve Bailey, Victor Wooten, and John Patitucci will be hosting another free Zoom webinar. This time, they’ll be talking to some of the most revered music directors in the world.

Thundercat took part in the “Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life” concert last year, and performed his tune, “Them Changes.” He was joined by two backing bassists - Adam Blackstone and Dwayne Moore - and guitarist John Mayer.

Lawson Kennard sent us this incredible video featuring the trio of Adam Blackstone, Wayne Moore and Thaddeus Tribbett performing a tribute to Derrick Hodge. While the performance is fantastic, I really enjoyed hearing Derrick’s story and influences at the end of the clip.

Adam Blackstone is not only a monster bassist, he’s an amazing musical director. Currently working with pop stars like Justin Timberlake and Rihanna, here’s a great video of Jill Scott from VH1’s SoulStage with Blackstone laying down some serious groove. The song arrangements are absolutely killer, too.
