It’s been a while since we’ve gotten a new Nick Schendzielos video, but this is totally worth the wait. The bassist tears through Havok’s “Hang ‘Em High” in this playthrough video.

GuitCon 2018: Billie Jean (with 8 Bass Players)

Dmitry Lisenko shared this video from GuitCon 2018, and it is our kind of video. Eight bass players got together to pull off an all-bass arrangement of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.” The line up includes Lisenko, Ove Bosch, Nathan Navarro, Jonathan Munnier, Nick Schendzielos, Chris Rodriguez, Adam Neely, and Jayme Lewis.

HAVOK: Intention To Deceive

Nick Schendzielos is one of my favorite metal players. His innovative style never fails to get me headbanging. A great example of that is this video from his band Havok for the song “Intention to Deceive”. The bassist rips it up, alternating between laying on the groove and adding tasty fills. Havok will be on tour with Darkest Hour for...

Suicidal Tendencies now has Michael Morgon handling bass duties following the death of Tim Williams. The lineup also reveals Megadeth’s longevity — Children of Bodom’s bassist Henkka Sepalla has cited Ellefson...

Job for a Cowboy Releases First Album with New Bassist

Job for a Cowboy’s fourth album, , featuring bassist Nick Schendzielos (also of Cephalic Carnage and the YouTube channel Bassfordays), has been released to critical acclaim. Alternative Press calls it one of the year’s best metal albums. Sun Eater marks the band’s departure from its earlier sound, in favor of “futuristic tones” and “slightly more ancestral song construction,” according to...

Bass of the Week: Nick Schendzielos’ Warwick Custom Shop Infinity 5

Nearly every bassist loves to plan out their dream bass, and a lucky few get to see that dream come to fruition. This week we check out a beautiful Warwick Custom Shop Infinity that Job for a Cowboy/Cephalic Carnage bassist Nick Schendzielos pieced together. Based on the company’s Infinity body shape, Schendzielos picked out every aspect of the instrument, which...

Nick Schendzielos: Mullet Clown Bass Gun Control

If you’re familiar with Nick Schendzielos, you may know that the following video is full of insane bass playing and quirky antics. This one is no exception. After a heartfelt (albeit completely fictionalized) tale of clown abuse, Schendzielos breaks into a strumming groove topped with an ear-catching, circus-inspired, overdriven melody. Cephalic Carnage bandmate Brian Hopp makes a cameo with an...
