Nick Schendzielos: The Purdie Shuffle on Bass
The Purdie Shuffle is one of the greatest drum grooves of all time, and Bernard Purdie is often spirited when he explains his pattern. Bassist Nick Schendzielos had some fun with one of Purdie’s videos to create an awesome and hilarious clip of his own.
“Here it is, the sickest drumbeat from the most recorded drummer ever, Bernard Purdie! Mad thanks to Trey from Dying Fetus for the idea,” the bassist writes.
Schendzielos riffs off of Purdie’s playing with some incredible bass work. He also plays off of the drummer’s antics. This is the perfect video to learn about the Purdie Shuffle and be entertained.
