Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, and Gregg Bissonette have added a second leg to their upcoming Bass Extremes tour. The second round of dates will focus on the East Coast with performances from Georgia up to Massachusetts.

Ever since they first teased it in 2018, we’ve been dying to hear what the new Bass Extremes album will sound like. Now Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, and Gregg Bissonette have unveiled more about it. They’ve also unveiled a set of tour dates.

John McLaughlin celebrated his 80th birthday earlier this month. Victor Wooten shared this video on Facebook around that time of McLaughlin, Wooten, and Chick Corea performing Mahavishnu Orchestra’s “You Know, You Know”.

Victor is a mainstay on the Reader Favorites lists, and 2021 was no exception. From performance to education to publishing a new book, Vic stayed busy. He lands at the #7 spot on this year’s list.

This has been a holiday tradition for many years, thanks to our friend Steve Bailey. Check out this year’s video by Steve and the Berklee Bass Department (with Victor Wooten and Bakithi Kumalo) with an impressive performance with some holiday cheer.
