Consider the Source have released their first new album in four years, called “You Are Literally A Metaphor.” The record is the sixth studio effort from the Sci-Fi Middle Eastern Fusion band.

Drummer Lance Crane and bassist Christian Fabian have teamed up once again to release a new album with The Crane & Fabian Project. “Run For Cover” is the third CD from the group and features a mix of covers and originals by Fabian.

Norwegian jazz bassist and composer Mats Eilertsen has released a new trio album, entitled “And Then Comes The Night.” The record, which is titled after a novel by Icelandic writer Jón Kalman Stefánsson, has a subtle and beautiful sound. That comes in part thanks to the studio they used.

Former Hüsker Dü guitarist Bob Mould has released a new solo album called “Sunshine Rock.” Joining Mould on the record are drummer Jon Wurster and bassist Jason Narducy, who has been with the songwriter since 2005.

Ken Smith Basses has announced that their USA line of basses will now be built by luthier Kevin Brubaker of Brubaker Guitars. Smith notes that 2019 marks the company’s 40th anniversary and a new era for the company.

The Tedeschi Trucks band has released their fourth studio album, entitled “Signs.” The eleven-song continues the southern soul band’s momentum of amazing music, and also marks the final album to feature bassist Tim Lefebvre.
