I discovered The Goods Drinks Reception Jazz Duo yesterday, and I’m impressed. In this clip, Barry Donohue and James Nash perform a medley that includes The Beatle’s “Blackbird”, Vulfpeck’s “Back Pocket”, and Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely”.

Vulfpeck dropped this video last week, from their 2018 Red Rocks concert. Joe Dart and the band groove hard on “Tesla”, with Louis Cole.

YYNOT has been hitting the road lately, and they’ve just shared a fantastic video from one of their recent shows. In this clip, the band performs “Chemical Burn” - a power trio instrumental that shows off Tim Starace’s gnarly tone.

Julia Hofer’s “Top 5 Bass Lines” videos are always a big hit around here. She’s just published a new one, focusing on the music of ABBA and the bass lines of Rutger Gunnarsson and Mike Watson.

A couple of days ago, Victor Wooten shared this video on Facebook saying, “This was a fun jam with the great Paul Peterson.” This is an impressive, completely improvised jam with some great commentary from Vic.
