Dave Sanborn has a cool new video series out called “Sanborn Sessions.” Sanborn put together a house band for the series, which includes Ben Williams on bass. In this episode, Michael McDonald and Brian Owens join the group to perform some sweet music.

Kevin sent me this incredible video of Alphonso Johnson‘s band performing Mongo Santamaría’s “Afro Blue,” which was popularized by John Coltrane. This was a new group Alphonso formed earlier this year - and what a killer band it is!
