Rufus Reid has a new duo album coming with pianist Sullivan Fortner on the vinyl-only label Newvelle Records. Luckily, the company also captured video of some of the recording session.
“Always in the Moment,” which is the title track from the album, is a sensitive and sparse composition that shines a light on Reid’s rich tone and thoughtful note choices. You can hear his years of experience and wisdom pouring through his instrument.
