Our friend Nenad Vasilic sent us this spectacular video performance of J.S.Bach’s “Sarabande” from “Cello Suite No.2,” which he recorded on old vintage Jazz bass.

While we mostly know Leonid & Friends for their incredible Chicago covers, they also cover other bands (including Earth, Wind & Fire). Now they’re adding Blood, Sweat & Tears to the mix, with a cover of “Spinning Wheel.”

I think The Main Squeeze is one of the most exciting bands out there right now, and the videos from their Red Rocks performance are just killer. Here’s a clip they shared in April featuring their take on the theme from Game of Thrones.

Guitarist Tom Ibarra and his quartet took the stage at Caveau des Oubliettes in 2016 and performed this excellent cover of “Cause We’ve Ended as Lovers.” I really dig Romain Labaye’s fretless work on this one. He even quotes Jaco during his solo.

This clip of Majestica’s music video for the song “Above the Sky” immediately caught my attention, and once you press play you’ll know why. Bassist Chris David kicks off the blazing power metal song with a blistering riff before twin guitars kick in. Get ready to headbang!

YYNOT is gearing up for their second album and just released the track, “Chemical Burn.” Tim Starace once again offers up some monster tone on a tune that goes from hard-hitting, to laid back, then grooves, and back again.

Can you ever get enough Pino Palladino? My vote is no. Case in point: check out Pino in concert with D’Angelo from the 2015 North Sea Jazz Festival.

Euripides Dionysiadis sent me this video featuring a cover of Seal’s “Crazy” he co-arranged for his band. The outcome is fantastic.

I’ve been hoping Vulfpeck would release the video for “Disco Ulysses”, and they did just that. The track is one of my favorites on their album, “Hill Climber,” and another great showcase for the grooves and moves by Joe Dart.

Tal Wilkenfeld is currently on tour in support of her new album, “Love Remains.” Here’s a live performance of “Counterfeit,” the album’s second track.

Geezer Butler’s new project Deadland Ritual has just released their first music video for a new song called “Broken and Bruised.” The Black Sabbath bassist’s musical stamp is evident and his snarling bass ties the track together.

During the 2016 British Summer Time Hyde Park festival, Stevie Wonder got the crowd going with this performance of “I Wish.” Nate Watts drives the tune with precision while throwing in some tasty fills along the way.
