Dead & Company took the stage at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA. earlier this month. This clip from the second set of show #2 features on great jam, backed by bassist Oteil Burbridge.

Any Ray Brown video is good to me, but this is one of my favorites. This clip of the late jazz master performing the Charlie Parker blues "Now's The Time" starts as a duet with a young Christian McBride.

Tim Lefebvre shared this on Twitter saying, “This one time gig led to many good things.” That gig was a date on Late Night with David Letterman in 2012, with Donald Fagen. It is cool to see Tim along with his other bandmates in Wayne Krantz Trio!

I’ve been revisiting the excellent Black Dub record that was released back in 2010 and exploring more videos by the band. In this clip, the band performs “Last Time” live. Jim Wilson, who toured with the group, plays bass on a tune that features the great Brian Blade on drums.

Our friend Nenad Vasilic sent us this spectacular video performance of J.S.Bach’s “Sarabande” from “Cello Suite No.2,” which he recorded on old vintage Jazz bass.

While we mostly know Leonid & Friends for their incredible Chicago covers, they also cover other bands (including Earth, Wind & Fire). Now they’re adding Blood, Sweat & Tears to the mix, with a cover of “Spinning Wheel.”

I think The Main Squeeze is one of the most exciting bands out there right now, and the videos from their Red Rocks performance are just killer. Here’s a clip they shared in April featuring their take on the theme from Game of Thrones.

Guitarist Tom Ibarra and his quartet took the stage at Caveau des Oubliettes in 2016 and performed this excellent cover of “Cause We’ve Ended as Lovers.” I really dig Romain Labaye’s fretless work on this one. He even quotes Jaco during his solo.

This clip of Majestica’s music video for the song “Above the Sky” immediately caught my attention, and once you press play you’ll know why. Bassist Chris David kicks off the blazing power metal song with a blistering riff before twin guitars kick in. Get ready to headbang!

YYNOT is gearing up for their second album and just released the track, “Chemical Burn.” Tim Starace once again offers up some monster tone on a tune that goes from hard-hitting, to laid back, then grooves, and back again.

Can you ever get enough Pino Palladino? My vote is no. Case in point: check out Pino in concert with D’Angelo from the 2015 North Sea Jazz Festival.

Euripides Dionysiadis sent me this video featuring a cover of Seal’s “Crazy” he co-arranged for his band. The outcome is fantastic.
