The Metropole Orkest was joined by Cory Henry and Jacob Collier for a 2017 show. This clip showcases the combined group performing the Herbie Hancock tune, “I Thought It Was You,” which was arranged by Henry and Rob Taggart. Aram Kersbergen is the bass guitarist on the session, and he lays down one tasty groove.

A year ago, keyboardist Valeriy Stepanov, drummer Arkadiy Kornev, and bassist Federico Malaman got together to record some music. This video blew us away. Federico is showing his incredible chops (and musicianship) on this tune, which also offers up a sweet solo by him.

We’re huge fans of Evan Marien and have been for some time. Check out his latest single, entitled “Iceland,” and you’ll see why. The band includes Julian Pollack on synths, Isamu McGregor on piano, Devin Collins on drums, and of course, Evan on bass. I really dig the use of the Hot Hand. Stevie Wonder’s songs have a magic that carries across the musical spectrum.
