The G3 tour has officially kicked off, and we’re already starting to see footage. Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson are joined by Bryan Beller on the tour. Here they are performing “Crossroads” at the Rialto Theater in Tucson, AZ.

Andy Summers shared a video yesterday titled “Jamming with Tal…” In this clip, they perform The Police’s “Walking On The Moon,” with Tal Wilkenfeld handling the vocals.

Drummer Jojo Mayer continues to release videos from his archives, and this one is excellent. Mayer teamed up with John Davis for this incredible duo improv, complete with some incredible sounds from the bassist.

The folks at Music Universe shared this video featuring Jaco Pastorius. This clip was recorded during a 1986 performance in Salzburg, Austria. Jaco solos over the classic Miles Davis tune, “So What,” backed by drummer Michael Kersting.

Bill Bruford consistently shares great videos on his channel. Here’s a recent one from a 1989 performance of Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe performing “Long Distance Runaround.” Jeff Berlin filled in for Tony Levin for this concert.

I love when Charles Berthoud breaks out the fretless, and he did just that on this all-bass cover of Metallica’s “Fade To Black.”

Armed with his Sire bass, we catch Marcus Miller in an intimate setting sitting in with Xavier Gordon’s band on the Sly Stone classic, “If You Want Me To Stay.” The band includes Ethan Farmer on bass as well.

This video from 2016 just hit my radar, and it’s a great one. Tedeschi Trucks Band took the stage at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival with some special guests. Here they are performing Freddie King’s “Palace of the King” with Billy Gibbons and Jimmie Vaughan.

Hadrien Feraud has released another video from his “Bass of Doom Sessions,” where he plays Jaco Pastorius’s legendary bass. "These Were the Days" was co-written by Feraud and vocalist Ericka Guitron.

Muriel Anderson was visited by Roy (Futureman) and Victor Wooten recently, and thankfully, she recorded it. “We try out some tunes we’ve never played together and talk about our latest projects,” Muriel shared.

In September, the JammJam brought back the Life Is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas with Cory Wong and Friends. In this clip, Cory Henry and Elmo Lovano join the band to perform “Sir Duke,” with Moe Hill grooving hard.
