I ran into Brad Williamson at this year's NAMM Show, and I'm glad I did. Here’s his fantastic all-bass arrangement of Animals as Leaders's "Thoughts and Prayers," which he performs on his FM 12 String Bass.

YYNOT’s annual Bubba Bash took place on January 6th to benefit Cedars-Sinai Hospital in memory of late Rush drummer Neil Peart. The band has started releasing videos from the show, including this performance on “YYZ,” with Mike Portnoy.

WDR Rockpalast posted this video from Jethro Tull’s “Swing In” documentary the other day. The film captures footage of the band in 1969. This lineup, of course, included bassist Glenn Cornick.

Drummer Jojo Mayer continues to release videos from his archives, and this one is excellent. Mayer teamed up with John Davis for this incredible duo improv, complete with some incredible sounds from the bassist.
Jaco Pastorius: “So What” Bass Solo (Live in 1986)
The folks at Music Universe shared this video featuring Jaco Pastorius. This clip was recorded during a 1986 performance in Salzburg, Austria. Jaco solos over the classic Miles Davis tune, “So What,” backed by drummer Michael Kersting.
