  1. This is one of my bands. I also play with myspace.com/theericbutlerproject and do pick up work with some local guys as well. I like busy.

  2. Were a 4 piece blues/rock combo from the Chicago area….weekend warriors to be sure, but no one has as much fun as we do!!! I play bass and sing lead, and our lead guitar player handles the rest of the vocals.

  3. Liquid . . . and soon to be in two gigging bands.

    Rough BoyZZ

  4. Yes, I am in a very busy gigging band.

We do a Live Band Karaoke Show in Buford, GA every Thursday at a place called 37 Main (www.37main.com)

On the weekends (or any other day we get booked)we do 1 of 4 themed tribute shows. Each specializes in a genre and we dress up in costumes and wigs to fit that genre. The genres include 70’s Funk/Disco (Stone Cold Fox), 70s Classic Rock (Free Ride ’75), 80s pop/rock (Electric Boogaloo) and 90s Alternative Rock (The Dock Martins). We mostly play in the Atlanta area and other southeastern cities within 3-4 hours from Atlanta.

  5. I am in a very stable rock band called Orison. We gig every month and hope to go on tour soon.

  6. Paul Bagley

    Currently in two gigging bands:
WallCloud based in Forest Lake – http://www.myspace.com/wallcloudband
FlightRisk based in Andover MN – http://www.FlightRisk.us
Neither band is all that busy, and I gig once or twice a month on average. Both bands fall into the Classic Rock and Country category, with FlightRisk generally being more adventurous in the song selection. Both bands put on a good show.

  7. Yes `m in a couple of bands.Da Remix is my cover band that plays R+B,rock and top 40 dance.Project Tee is one of my original bands, and then there`s O.S.S[Ole Skool Soldiers]that`s my other original band.

  8. Robert

Well, currently i’m not in a band. I was in a hard-rock band as well as in a “girl” band, but due to some situations i quit both. But now i’m really looking for a band. Anyone here who lives in Holland?

  9. J

I play a couple times or more a month for fun. I use to play professionally but tired of the hustle and one artist I use to play with took the fun out of playing. We play roots music and about a dozen originals. Great players and good times.

  10. I’m currently in the gigging band, 2-Tymin. We’re a cover band that’s gigging in the North Florida area about 2 weekends a month. I actually enjoy playing in a cover band because we play such a wide variety of music genres.

  11. Tommy Knapp

I play in New Orleans, which by its nature means I play in several bands, most of whom (but by no means all) work on Bourbon Street. I try to balance my bread-and-butter gigs there with more fun (but of course much less lucrative) off-the-Strip gigs with my own trio.

  12. Gigging? Well, not so much.
I’m forming a band to perform my original music. So far, it’s me on bass and gruff vocals, and a female vocalist doing clean vox.
The name of the band is Voice of the Vortex.
Imagine putting these in a blender: Primus, Cannibal Corpse, Theatre of Tragedy, Israel “Cachao” Lopez, old Metallica, and a bit of Jaco. Odd, eh?

  13. Michael Campbell

I’m not – I’ve just started learning how to play and am enjoying the journey so far.

  14. New group, no name, first jam this wknd

  15. Jonathan

I play in a 11 piece jazz ensemble (5 upright basses up front, one in the rhythm section) based in New Jersey – The Neo-Bass Ensemble featuring Lisle Atkinson, though I am on sabbatical from it for awhile, since I just moved to Buffalo and need to get settled. I play in two rock cover bands as well, up here in Buffalo.

  16. I’m TOTALLY in a giggling band – we giggle all day long. Wait a minute, that wasn’t the question…

  19. Loud. But not without melody. And a distinct sound of our own. We are composed of 4 very different musicians with an array of influences. Vancouver has lots of Punk, Metal, Indie, and Rock, but we would like to combine all of these genres and come up with our own sound.

  20. I am in two bands, one gigging, one almost never. Zap Guru is a jazz/rock fusion band and there are practically no places to book it. It is so much fun and challenging. I’ll never give it up.
The Allman Step Brothers is relatively new and we have four gigs upcoming in the next few months.

  21. I’m in a gigging progressive rock band. Mog Rocket. It’s a three piece guitar, bass and drums bringing the heavy sounds of math rock.

  22. i play in an AC/DC tribute band. our videos can been seen on youtube, type in ang6996 and they’ll all be there.

  23. I’m bassist, singer (one of four,) and occasional drummer for Coyote Run, a Celtic rock band based in Williamsburg, VA. We’re all original, drawing our stories from poetry (Yeats, Shakespeare, Henley, and others,) Celtic myths and legends, and Paganism. We’re developing a “Wheel Of The Year” show for this, our tenth anniversary, and we can be found on YouTube. Our touring schedule has us in Pennsylvania, Florida, Missouri, possibly California, and definitely Scotland. Kilt Rock!

  24. We are a 9 piece horn band playing everything from smooth jazz to SRV, The Beatles, Chicago, Tower of Power, KC and The Sunshine Band to some disco and a little country for good measure.
