Bio:
I’m a bassist, composer, arranger and producer with international experience.
Location:
Santa Fe / SF / Argentina
Day gig:
Bass instructor and father of twins.
Years experience:
25 years
Bands & Gigs:
My band is MO’BLUES (high energy latin blues/rock). We are the only Argentinean band in our genre touring in the US since 2000 (once or twice a year), performing at blues, rock and World music festivals. We have three studio albums and a live DVD. We’ve also played alongside many blues legends over the years.
Gear:
- ’86 MusicMan StingRay
- ’68 Fender P-bass
- Michael Kelly acoustic bass
- Gallien Krueger 800RB (head)
- Wenstone Amps Cabinets (made in Argentina) with Eminence speakers 4×10 & 1×15
- SansAmp Bass Driver DI
- Monster Cables
- Martin Blust Strings (made in Argentina)
- Also have a lot of pedals but they come and go.
Why I play the bass:
I saw Gene Simmons on TV back in ’77 and BANG!!! I said: I want to do THAT!!! Well, I ended playing bass all right, but never could split fire and blood or fly over the audience. It would be odd in a blues/rock band, anyway.
My bass superpower/claim to fame
Everybody is playing in NO key until I hit the root of the chord. Now that’s POWER!!!
My influences
Gene Simmons, Jack Bruce, Billy Sheehan and Marcus Miller.
