Darkglass Electronics Unveils Vintage Microtubes Pedal

Darkglass Electronics Vintage Microtubes PedalDarkglass Electronics has unveiled the Vintage Microtubes, a unique overdrive pedal aimed at creating classic rock and roll bass tones from the ’70s through the ’90s.

“What we did for this one was to study the greatest and most legendary bass tones and all the components involved in creating them; amplifier brands, recording techniques, etcetera,” said Darkglass founder Douglas Castro.

In addition to Level and Drive knobs, the pedal has an ERA knob, which interacts with Drive knob to shape your tone from “the smooth, warm and naturally compressed tone of the 70’s to the aggressive and punchy growl of the 90’s.” It also has a Blend control for mixing in clean signal.

The Darkglass Electronics Vintage Microtubes is designed in Finland and handmade in the USA. They will be available in late January, but are available for presale now for $249. For more info, check out the Darkglass website.
