Nordstrand Pickups Announces Big J-Blades
Nordstrand Pickups has announced the Big J-Blade, a jazz-style single coil pickup that’s built with a continuous sensing blade. The new model will come in two versions with different winds to provide two unique tones.
“One wind provides a ‘warm and wooly’ tone, while an alternate wind provides a ‘clean and clear’ tone,” the company writes. “Plus, as proven by our original Big Blades, no more worries about making sure the pole pieces line up with your strings.”
The Big J-Blades will be available in four sizes: 4-string, 5-string, 5-string Fender and 5-string long cover. Nordstrand also says the blade radius is designed for even output on most basses, though custom radius versions will be available soon.
The Nordstrand Pickups Big J-Blade pickups are available for pre-order starting at $185.90 per set and are expected to ship in early November.
