ISP Technologies Introduces the Decimator X Series Noise Reduction Pedals
ISP Technologies has introduced two new noise reduction pedals, the Decimator X and the Decimator X G-String. Each is designed with “fast response times, versatile routing options, and durable construction.” They build upon the company’s previous Decimator series by utilizing new circuitry.
“The pedals offer lightning-fast response times and ultra-smooth decay with enhanced tracking technology. If you’re playing staccato, with or without pauses, or if you desire a nice long decay, this technology allows for a natural sound and feel. You can preserve the integrity of your tone, even during fast-paced passages and intricate playing.”
The Decimator X has a simple layout with a single knob to set the threshold. It has a single input and output, and a 1/8-inch jack that allows for dual-channel noise reduction or a stereo setup.
The G-String steps things up with four jacks: Guitar In, Guitar Out, Decimator In, and Decimator Out. This allows for inserting noisier pedals between the guitar out and the Decimator input. “This configuration offers an important advantage: you can switch from extreme high gain to crunch or clean and never need to re-adjust the threshold control on the pedal because the direct guitar signal is used to control the noise reduction block,” ISP explains.
Both the Decimator X and Decimator X G-String can run on either a 9-volt battery or a 9-volt power supply. They’re available now at $146.72 for the standard version and $236.42 for the G-String version.
