Gilad Ephrat and Shmuel Elbaz: Bread & Butter
When I see an email from No Treble reader Gilad Ephrat, I know I’m in for a treat.
That happened this morning with Gilad’s latest video. “Bread & Butter” is a tune Gilad composed and performed with mandolinist Shmuel Elbaz.
“Shmulik and I share a lot of playing mileage, shared experiences, funny stories, a love of musical adventures, and most importantly, long-lasting friendships,” Gilad shared.
This certainly comes through in the music. The song is a real conversation between two stellar musicians.
“‘Bread & Butter’ is the first single from our duet album, ‘Bassolin,’ which was released on Emmaya Records,” Gilad added.
