Nenad Vasilic: Bass Boogie
Nenad Vasilic sent us this video for “Bass Boogie,” which is one of the tracks on his new album.
Solo Live is the bassist’s 15th album and will be released in October.
“In the solo bass composition ‘Bass Boogie,’ Nenad masters the odd rhythm in nine eighths, moving from a straight funky beat to a trio phrasing, typical of Roma and original music of the southern Balkans. The constant combination of percussive and traditional double bass playing techniques contributes even more strongly to the attractiveness of this solo bass performance,” he shared.
