Watch: Gilad Ephrat’s Blues Tune Inspired by Christian McBride, Honoring Chick Corea
Gilad Ephrat sent us his latest video, which was a long time in the making.
“This is the first blues tune I wrote. We’ve been playing it for ages, and now we’ve finally recorded it and made a live video. The first spark for this tune actually came from one of Christian Mcbride’s amazing solos that I learned,” he shared.
Gilad’s ensemble includes Eyal Sela on flute, Shmuel Elbaz on mandolin, Ido Zeleznik on piano, Hagar Maoz on violin, Hila Epstein on cello, and Matan Ephrat on drums. The whole group swings on “One for Chick.”
Be sure to check out Gilad’s arco solo!
