Vincen García Breaks Down His Viral Bass Solos and More in “Funk It Up!” Course

Vincen García

Vincen García has proven to be one of the most electrifying new bassists on the scene. His fiery technique and bubbling grooves have gone viral time and time again. Now, he’s sharing his approach to the bass in his first instructional course.

Funk It Up! features over 50 video lessons in which he dives into every detail of his most iconic solos and grooves. Beyond explanations of his epic solos on songs like “ALT-F4” and Cory Wong’s “Lunchtime,” García explains his approach to improving your playing with “no empty speeches.”

“I see musical learning as something organic and fun, without borders, compartments, or labels. To structure this course, I needed to organize the information in some way, both theoretically and practically,” he explains. “With this in mind, I have designed a study guide with an extensive section where I will explain in detail my solos and grooves. We will also analyze the five pillars that form the foundation of my style: pentatonics, Greek modes, slap, ghost notes, and the diminished scale. Finally, we’ll take a look at some licks. Thank you all for your trust.”

Although García recorded all of the lessons in his native Spanish, every video also has AI-generated English overdubbing. Each lesson also includes backing tracks, PDF tabs, sheet music, and Guitar Pro Files for in-depth practice.

Vincen García’s Funk It Up! Bass Course is aimed at intermediate to advanced players. It is available now through his website for approximately $180.
