Robert Trujillo’s Metallic Gold Warwick Delivers the Low-End Firepower on “Battery” in Toronto – April 26, 2025
Metallica hit Toronto hard on April 26 as part of their M72 World Tour. Robert Trujillo came out swinging, holding down the low end on his custom metallic gold mirrored Warwick bass. His tone on “Battery” was fat and aggressive, locking in tight with Lars and pushing the whole band forward. He’s a monster onstage, and this clip is proof.
The M72 tour is a two-night setup with different sets each night, pulling from across their catalog and the new 72 Seasons record. Metallica is firing on all cylinders, and Trujillo’s performance is a big part of that engine.
