New from Luna: Moonbird Acoustic/Electric Bass with 24-Inch Scale and Lunar Inlays

Luna Guitars has unveiled a new acoustic/electric bass called the Moonbird Mini Opus. The mini-bass has a 24-inch scale, making the string length ten inches shorter than a standard bass.
The bass is built with an Eastern mahogany body and a solid mahogany top. Luna also utilized mahogany for its neck. The rosewood fingerboard holds 20 nickel frets that are inlaid with the phases of the moon. The electric portion of the design features the Luna Double S6 preamp, which includes a built-in tuner and effects. A rechargeable battery powers the preamp.
The Luna Guitars Moonbird Acoustic/Electric Bass will be shipping in August with a street price of $629.
