Morley Launches Tye Trujillo Bass Wah with Built-In Drive and Switchless Design

Morley is expanding their lineup of bass wah pedals with a new signature unit for Suicidal Tendencies and OTTTO bassist Tye Trujillo. The company collaborated with him to create the Tye Trujillo TruDrive Wah, which ticks some boxes he needed in a wah.
“Tye is continuing the legacy of Morley Bass Players from Cliff Burton to Jason Newstead to his father Robert Trujillo and now Tye who is currently playing bass with Suicidal Tendencies, while also recording new music with his own band OTTTO,” Morley shares. “Tye wanted a switchless Wah that had a built-in ‘Always On’ drive as part of the Wah sound, and a Wah Mix control that lets you dial in the perfect amount of Wah. Additionally, there is a separate Distortion Circuit which allows for anything from a slight overdrive clip, to full on metal distortion, and anything in between. The Distortion is equipped with Level, Drive and Tone controls to let you dial in the right drive for you.”
In addition to sounding great, Trujillo wanted a cool look. The pedal is housed in a cold-rolled steel housing finished with a race car blue base, chrome treadle with diamond plate treadle grip, and a glow-in-the-dark toe end logo.

The Morley Tye Trujillo TruDrive Wah will be available on July 1st with a price of $199.
