Geddy Lee & Tech 21 Launch Signed Pedals for Neil Peart Tribute, Cancer Charity

Here’s your chance to grab a piece of history and help the world at the same time. Geddy Lee and Tech 21 have partnered to present the Special Charity Edition MP40 Signature SansAmp, a limited-edition pedal personally autographed by the Rush bassist. Limited to 200 pieces, proceeds from each sale will be given to two charities in memory of the late Neil Peart: The Neil Peart Memorial at Lakeside Park and Cedars-Sinai for Glioblastoma Research in Memory of Neil Peart.
The MP40 was originally released in 2021 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Rush’s seminal album, Moving Pictures. It features custom artwork that pays tribute to the album cover by Hugh Syme.
“The all-analog MP40 SansAmp builds upon the original Geddy Lee YYZ pedal with the addition of a selectable Boost stomp switch,” Tech 21 shares. “It provides a 12dB presence boost for increased top-end distortion. Engaging the Shape-shifter button gives you an extra 6dB of Schmegilka on top, which, according to Geddy, ‘is an indefinable thing of awesomeness!'”
You can hear the pedal’s sound from Tech 21’s original demo video in 2021:
The Tech 21 Geddy Lee MP40 Signature SansAmp Charity Edition is available exclusively on Geddy Lee’s Reverb Shop page for $499. You can also participate in Lee’s mission by donating directly to the Neil Peart Memorial at Lakeside Park and Cedars-Sinai for Glioblastoma Research in Memory of Neil Peart.
