Peter Hook & The Light Announce 2026 Tour with New Order’s “Get Ready” Performed in Full

Bass hero Peter Hook will be taking his band The Light out for another North American tour in 2026. Planned well in advance, the tour will take place in August and September of next year from coast to coast. Hook will be continuing to celebrate his back catalog, and as such the band will be performing the New Order album Get Ready in its entirety, as well as a second set of classic tracks from New Order and Joy Division.
“Get Ready was a honeymoon record. Looking back now it was very enjoyable to make, and I think is massively underrated,” the bassist states. “It did sort the wheat from the chaff and led to a New Order mk2 which played better but had lost a naivety whilst gaining a maturity. Barney and I became a ‘power couple’ in Manchester during the making of the record but, sadly, the old problems recurred when we came to play live. The writing was on the wall from then on. The two of us worked very hard to make this a great record and I think we succeeded. I am looking forward to playing all the tracks, many of which had never been played live before these Get Ready dates. The Light will shine through …”
The tour will begin on August 23rd, 2026 at the Agora Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio. They’ll then head north to Toronto, Ontario, Canada before dropping back down into the Northeast states. September will see The Light covering the mid-Atlantic before jumping to Texas and heading west to Arizona and California. Finally, they’ll head north again to Canada and wrap things up at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, British Columbia.
