Tedeschi Trucks Band Fire Up 2026 With New Album “Future Soul” and Massive Tour

Tedeschi Trucks Band will be having another big year. The band, led by wife and husband team Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, has announced a new album called Future Soul with a massive tour to boot. The new record will mark their first since the expansive quadruple concept album, I Am the Moon.
“The heart, honesty, and full-band collaboration on Future Soul makes the forthcoming album the most unique collection to date from the revered 12-piece powerhouse ensemble,” a press release states. “The majority of the songwriting was done by Trucks, Tedeschi, Mattison, Gabe Dixon, and Tyler Greenwell with the music sonically pulling from a variety of influences including funk, rock ‘n roll, blues, soul, punk, and much more.”
TTB has given us the first look at Future Soul with the lead single “I Got You,” which was written by guitarist/vocalist Mike Mattison in the spirit of Derek and the Dominos and Delaney & Bonnie. Bassist Brandon Boone drives the track with a soulful line that delivers vintage vibes by using a pick on a short scale bass.
The band’s “Future Soul 2026 Tour” will feature 35 headlining dates, kicking off with a spring leg on April 14th in Dallas Texas. See below for the full run.
Future Soul will be out March 20th via Fantasy Records. It’s open to preorder on CD, vinyl and as a digital download (Apple Music, and Amazon Music).
