Low, Loud, and Locked: Dominic John Davis on SNL with Jack White

Jack White hit Saturday Night Live for his fifth time as musical guest and rolled out “Derecho Demonico” and “G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs” with his band, including longtime bassist and friend Dominic John Davis.  Davis came armed with his vintage Fender 60s Jazz Bass running through an Ampeg rig, and a pedalboard full of options (Dominic shared a pic of his board with me).  Dominics tone has lots of edge to it and that helps lead the charge. These guys go way back, and you can hear it. Both songs from this performance are from Jack’s latest release from earlier this week.

Jack also popped into a couple of sketches during the episode, which always makes these appearances a little more fun.
