Gamechanger Audio PLUS Pedal II Brings New Sustain Tools for Bass and Beyond

Gamechanger Audio PLUS Pedal II

Gamechanger Audio has revamped its flagship sustain pedal with the PLUS Pedal II, calling it a comprehensive redesign. The pedal, which looks and functions like a piano’s sustain pedal, features a new sound engine and expanded features.

“The original PLUS Pedal established itself as a modern classic, used by musicians across genres and disciplines for its ability to create rich, organic, and endlessly evolving soundscapes,” Gamechanger writes. “The PLUS Pedal II builds on that foundation with a rebuilt sound engine, new interface, and dramatically expanded capability across a wider range of instruments and performance contexts.”

The company explains that the core of the PLUS Pedal II is “Spectral Sampling,” which is a new algorithm that combines real-time audio capture with spectral resynthesis. This, they say, preserves the timbre, dynamics, harmonics, and character of any input signal. The engine can handle any melodic musical source, including bass. It has a combo XLR/TS input with a built-in microphone preamp, allowing for double bassists to also use a mic.

The control configuration has Catch and Hold switches, Rise and Decay knobs, and Tone and Resonance controls to dial in the effect. Other features include a three-position FX Loop, an optional multi-mode footswtich, and a circular LED to display active layers in real time.

The Gamechanger Audio PLUS Pedal II is available now for $399.
