This Week’s Top 10: Oteil Burbridge, Fender Jazz Bass, Keanu Reeves and More
This week’s highlights include new gear, exclusive interviews, and killer performances. Let’s dive in.
The most-read article on No Treble featured the Fender American Vintage II ’66 Jazz Bass, which got a new colorway for 2026. Lake Placid Blue, which the company began using in 1959, joins the previous colors of Sea Foam Green, 3-Color Sunburst, and Olympic White. All other details of the model remain the same, from the vintage-style neck profile to the heirloom-quality year-specific pickups.
We were honored to spend some time with Oteil Burbridge, who shared some personal insights about his new album, The Offering, his time with Colonel Bruce Hampton, Dead & Company, and – of course – his gear. He’ll be on the road later this year with John Scofield’s Electrospective tour.
“John Scofield is the first of my like childhood teenage heroes that called me for one of his gigs,” he said. “It’s a long time coming for me to get called for a gig like that and be nervous and excited like a kid, you know?”
The most-watched daily video featured Keanu Reeves laying it down with Dogstar on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
