Chris Wyse Goes Upright for Hollywood Vampires’ Take on David Bowie’s “Heroes”
Hollywood Vampires have shared another video from their 2018 performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival and this one is a great follow up to the “Ace of Spades” clip we featured recently. The newly released official video captures the band taking on David Bowie’s iconic “Heroes,” with Johnny Depp handling the lead vocals.
The lineup is stacked. Depp is joined by Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Tommy Henriksen, Glen Sobel, Buck Johnson, and Chris Wyse, who holds down the low end on upright bass. It is quite a group to hear digging into one of Bowie’s most recognizable songs.
The performance is included on At Montreux Jazz Festival, the Hollywood Vampires’ new 19 track live album documenting the 2018 show. The album arrived digitally on August 14.
