Eric Vogel Backs Marcus King and Eric Krasno on “Sweet Little Angel”
It is always good to see players keeping the blues alive and this one has plenty of fire.
Marcus King recently stopped by Carter Vintage Guitars in Nashville for a performance of “Sweet Little Angel,” joined by guitarist Eric Krasno and bassist Eric Vogel.
The blues standard is most closely associated with B.B. King and Marcus and Krasno honor that tradition by trading some fantastic guitar solos throughout the performance. Vogel keeps everything grounded with the deepest of pockets.
There is some serious vintage gear in the room, too. Vogel is playing a 1964 Fender Jazz Bass in Lake Placid Blue through an Ampeg fliptop amp. King is reunited with his 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard known as the MK Burst, while Krasno plays a 1970s Fender Stratocaster.
Recorded right inside Carter Vintage Guitars, the setting makes it feel like three friends plugging in and letting the blues do the talking.

Hes a little instagram vid that No Treble was able to capture of Eric doing some soundcheck grooves a couple months back in Chicago.
