Gear Watch: Ibanez Paul Gray Tribute Bass
Among a slew of new instruments, Ibanez has released a tribute bass to the late Slipknot bassist, Paul Gray. The new bass was designed in conjunction with Gray’s family and the Slipknot management. Proceeds from sales of the bass will go towards a special trust for Paul’s daughter and family.
The PGB2T features a mahogany body and maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, accented by pearl dot inlays. The body is covered with the image of Gray, with the band logo emblazoned just above the controls and humbucker pickup.
The bass retails for $399.99 and is available now.
